EMBEDDED TRAINING OVERVIEW
Theoretical Topics:
• Overview of AUTOSAR architecture and layers (BSW, RTE, ASW).
• Importance of hardware and software integration in AUTOSAR.
• Familiarization with MCAL (Microcontroller Abstraction Layer).
Hardware Setup:
Select Microcontroller: Use AUTOSAR-compliant boards like:
• Infineon AURIX (TriCore TC2xx/TC3xx series).
Acquire Debugging Tools:
• J-Link Debugger or Lauterbach Trace32.
Prepare Power Supply: Ensure regulated power for the selected board.
Software Installation:
• Install an AUTOSAR configuration tool:
Vector DaVinci Developer or Elektrobit Tresos.
• Install IDE and compiler:
Green Hills or IAR Embedded Workbench (depending on the microcontroller).
• Install simulation tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer).
Practical Task:
• Power up the microcontroller board and verify connectivity with your PC.
• Explore debugging tools to connect and flash basic firmware.
Theoretical Topics:
• Detailed exploration of MCAL
• GPIO, PWM, ADC, CAN drivers.
• Introduction to BSW configuration:
• Diagnostic stack, communication stack, and memory stack.
• RTE and application software components (SWCs).
Tasks:
• Step-by-step process for GPIO configuration using AUTOSAR tools.
• GPIO control demonstration (e.g., LEDs ON/OFF) using configured BSW & SWC.
• The entire process will be shown in a presentable way (PPT) to enhance clarity and learning
Theoretical Topics:
• CAN/LIN/Ethernet protocol overview.
• BSW modules for communication (COM, PDU Router, CAN Stack).
Hardware Tasks:
• Set up a CAN transceiver module with the microcontroller.
Software Tasks:
• Configure the CAN driver and CAN stack in the tool.
• Generate RTE and integrate a basic CAN application.
• Use CANalyzer or CANoe to test message transmission
Theoretical Topics:
• AUTOSAR OS concepts (tasks, alarms, events).
• Scheduling and task configuration.
Tasks:
• Integrated setup of sensors and actuator tools using the AUTOSAR OS stack.
• OS configuration, task scheduling, and data flow from sensors to actuators.
• The entire process will be shown in a presentable way (PPT) to enhance clarity and learning.
Theoretical Topics:
• Fault diagnosis and DEM (Diagnostic Event Manager).
• NVRAM stack and data persistence.
Tasks:
• Configuration of DEM for fault logging.
• Setup and interface of external memory (EEPROM/Flash).
• Data storage and retrieval using NVRAM stack.
• The full procedure will be presented in a clear, step-by-step manner using PPT, with configuration tool visuals
Theoretical Topics:
• Integration of all layers in AUTOSAR.
• End-to-end workflow of an AUTOSAR project.
Tasks:
• Integration of BSW, RTE, and SWC into a single control application.
• Real hardware demonstration (e.g., smart light or motor control).
• Hardware connection steps and testing will be shown as a step-by-step process in a presentable way (PPT).
Deliverables for the Course:
• Configuring MCAL and BSW.
• Generating and testing RTE.
• Writing SWCs and testing them on hardware.
